A mid-term workshop for the 8th EIG CONCERT-Japan call on Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as Affordable and Clean Energy was organized by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) online on January 17, 2024.

The workshop was chaired by Prof. Detlef Stolten (Institute of Techno-economical Systems Analysis, IEK-3) and moderated by Dr. Nicola Hartlieb (DLR). In total, more than 50 project researchers, external experts and funding agencies officers participated in the workshop.

The workshop presented an opportunity for the researchers to give presentations on the progress of their research, as well as to highlight key goals and challenges. The six research teams presented their work and answered questions from other participants. They also had the opportunity to discuss various topics in smaller groups through break-out sessions, in what became an opportunity for lively discussion and exchange.

The research teams will meet again in 2025 for a final workshop of the call.
