Pre-announcement of 11th call on Digital Transformations and Robotics in Sustainable Agriculture

EIG CONCERT-Japan is delighted to announce that its 11th joint call for proposals on Digital Transformations and Robotics in Sustainable Agriculture will be launched in May!

The European Interest Group (EIG) CONCERT-Japan has decided on the topic of its 11th call for proposals, titled Digital Transformations and robotics in Sustainable Agriculture, to be launched in May 2024 with research expected to start in the first half of 2025.

How should project consortia be composed?

Each project consortium submitting an application should consist of at least 3 eligible beneficiaries (project partners), including at least 1 from Japan and at least 2 from two different European countries participating in the Joint Call.

Céréales dans un dispositif expérimental construit à Ittenheim, en Alsace, pour tester en milieu semi-naturel contrôlé l’efficacité de différentes associations de cultures dans la création d’un habitat favorable au hamster d’Europe, "Cricetus cricetus". Cette espèce décline en France où elle n'est présente qu'en Alsace. La santé des populations dépend fortement des cultures agricoles qui servent pour son habitat et son alimentation. Une des causes identifiées de son déclin est la culture intensive des céréales, très développée en Alsace. La reconstitution d'un habitat favorable passe donc par une adaptation des pratiques agricoles. Les recherches menées en milieu semi-naturel contrôlé se doublent de lâchers dans des parcelles agricoles expérimentales d’individus provenant d'élevages, afin de renforcer les effectifs des foyers de population. Opening of 11th call on Digital Transformations and Robotics in Sustainable Agriculture

EIG CONCERT-Japan is delighted to announce the opening of its 11th joint call for proposals titled Digital Transformations and Robotics

Tourbière boisée au sud de la tourbière active du Forbonnet, dans le Doubs, lors d’une campagne interdisciplinaire d’étude du devenir des gaz à effet de serre (GES) dans la tourbière voisine de Frasne. Les scientifiques cherchent à mieux comprendre les mécanismes hydrologiques, biogéochimiques et écologiques qui contrôlent les sources, la production et les transferts de GES dans les tourbières. Dans ces zones humides, la matière organique se décompose mal et s'accumule sous forme de tourbe. Le carbone est alors stocké durant des millénaires. Avec les changements climatiques et les activités humaines, le fonctionnement de ces écosystèmes se dérègle, impactant notamment le piégeage du carbone, et ils tendent à émettre plus de GES comme le dioxyde de carbone et le méthane. Pour anticiper les évolutions futures, le Service national d'observation des tourbières surveille celle de Frasne depuis 2008. Cette campagne s'inscrit dans le projet Terra Forma, avec le soutien du SNO Tourbières et de la réserve naturelle régionale de Frasne-Bouverans, et l’infrastructure de recherche Ozcar (Observatoires de la zone critique : applications et recherche).
