Joint Calls

 

2012

The first Joint Call was open between September and November 2012 in the two prioritised thematic areas of "Resilience against Disasters" and "Efficient Energy Storage and Distribution".
5 projects were selected for funding in the first thematic area, and 4 in the second one, for a duration of funding of 2 years.
14 funding agencies from 11 European countries took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €2,776,451.

 

2014

The second Joint Call was open between February and April 2014 on the thematic area of "Photonic Manufacturing".
4 projects were selected for a 2 years funding duration.
6 funding agencies from 5 European countries and Japan took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €900,00.

 

2016

The third Joint Call was conducted following the end of the ERA-NET programme and the creation of the European Interest Group (EIG). It was open between February and July 2016 on the thematic area of "Food Crops and Biomass Production Technology".
5 projects were selected for a 3 years funding duration.
5 funding agencies from 4 European countries and Japan took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €1,886,441.

 

2017

The fourth Joint Call was open between May and July 2017 on the thematic area of "Efficient Energy Storage and Distribution".
5 projects were selected for a 3 years funding duration.
9 funding agencies from 8 European countries and Japan took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €2,234,896.

 

2018

The fifth Joint Call was open between April and June 2018 on the thematic area of "Functional Porous Materials".
5 projects were selected for a 3 years funding duration.
9 funding agencies from 8 European countries and Japan took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €1,825,601.

 

2019

The sixth Joint Call was open between April and June 2019 on the thematic area of "Smart Water Management for Sustainable Society".
5 projects were selected for a 3 years funding duration.
9 funding agencies from 8 European countries and Japan took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €3,002,530.

 

2020

The seventh Joint Call was open between May and July 2020 on the thematic area of "ICT for Resilient, Safe and Secure Society".
6 projects were selected for a 3 years funding duration.
10 funding agencies from 9 European countries and Japan took part in the Joint Call.
The committed budget amount was €2,870,754.

 

2021

The eighth Joint Call on the thematic area of "Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as affordable and clean energy" will open in May 2021.

Joint workshops

Three joint workshops were also organized by CONCERT-Japan to bring together funded projects from the 1st and 2nd calls in order to discuss and disseminate their progress, results and future prospects.
Joint workshops are also offering an opportunity for further networking and collaboration-building amongst participants. The first joint workshop on "Efficient Energy storage and distribution" took place in Jülich/Germany on 16-17 October 2014. The joint workshop on "Resilience against disasters" took place in Tokyo/Japan on 25 November 2014. 52 participants from Europe and Japan, including the funded researchers, CONCERT-Japan partners as well as observers, participated in the Resilience workshop.

The joint workshop on "Photonic Manufacturing" took place in Milan/Italy on 22 March 2017. 24 researchers, CONCERT-Japan partners and observers participated.
